ACTIVE MEMBER
An Active Member is a Naturopathic Physician who has
been continually licensed as a naturopathic physician in Iowa, or meets
the minimum education requirements as defined herein, as well as the
following additional requirements. An active member needs to be
licensed as a naturopathic physician in the State of Iowa, or, in the
event no such license is currently available in the State of Iowa, the
active member must hold a current valid license from a state or
jurisdiction whose license is acceptable to the AANP, and must be a
resident of the State of Iowa. An active member in good standing has
voting privileges, is eligible for election to the Executive Committee,
has sponsorship rights and is qualified to be an Association Delegate to
the AANP House of Delegates, providing the active member maintains
adherence to the current mission of the Association and has no public
record of opposition to the Association and its current mission. Annual
membership dues shall be established by the Board.
STUDENT MEMBER
A
Student Member is a person who is at the time of application for
membership attending a naturopathic medical school that meets the
minimum educational requirements as defined herein. A Student Member
includes those persons who have graduated from a naturopathic medical
school that meets the minimum educational requirements as defined herein
within the previous 12 months prior to application for membership. A
Student Member in good standing must maintain adherence to the current
mission of the Association and have no public record of opposition to
the Association and its current mission. Student members do not have
voting privileges, unless serving on the Board and may not serve as
Association Delegate to the AANP House of Delegates. Annual membership
dues shall be established by the Board.
SUPPORTING MEMBER
A
Supporting Member is a person, corporation, association or a licensed
health care professional, who supports the mission of the Association. A
Supporting Member in good standing must maintain adherence to the
current mission of the Association and have no public record of
opposition to the Association and its current mission. Supporting
members do not have voting privileges unless serving on the board, and
are not eligible to serve on the Executive Board or as Association
Delegate to the AANP House of Delegates. Annual membership dues shall
be established by the Board.
HONORARY MEMBER
An Honorary
Member is open to distinguished individuals who have made extraordinary
contributions to the advancement of Naturopathic Medicine. They must be
elected by a majority vote of the voting members of the Association and
have two sponsors who are an Active or Emeritus Member of the
Association. Honorary members do not have voting privileges, unless
serving on the Board, and are not eligible to serve as Association
Delegate to the AANP House of Delegates. Honorary members are not
required to pay dues.
